Reymersholm

Chaise longue, canapé, daybed… This piece of furniture with simple lines has a tight elegance which is unusual in Carl Malmsten’s designs. The original drawings show that the daybed could be ordered with a small extendable shelf for tea cup and book. An angle section could also be added to create a corner sofa, as well as a bookshelf for the foot end. The first order also included a bed with a headboard, round table, bedside table with bookshelf, cupboard and sideboard. The client is believed to be the manager of the liquor factory on Reimersholme in Stockholm.
